Safe System of Work Planner Recertification

Course Aims

This course provides a reassessment for existing Safe System of Work Planners who produce Safe Work packs for people required to work on the Network Rail Controlled infrastructure.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course the delegate will continue to be able to:
• Understand the process for planning Safe Systems of Work in accordance with NR/L2/OHS/019, Safety of People at Work on or Near the Line.
• Access and extract information from various sources and using that information in the production of Safe Work Packs for use by people required to work safely on or about the Network Rail Controlled Infrastructure including:
• Have a basic understanding of key Rule Book modules and Handbooks associated with planning and implementing Safe Systems of Work.

Pre Requisite Requirements

Delegates must be in possession of:
• Meet the requirements of Network Rail Standard NR/L1/OHS/051 (Drugs & Alcohol).
• Must have evidence of four Safe System of Work entries and two track visits on the Work Experience Form following each assessment or training event

PPE Requirements

Personal Protective Equipment is not required for this course.
